Tanacetum Parthenium – The “Feverfew”
Tanacetum parthenium is a kind of chamomile that is found in various parts of the world. It grows as a perennial flower with small pink, white and yellow flowers. The leaves are actually made up of three different types of plants, which are called the sterile, fertile and true leaves. These three types differ in the different properties when it comes to medicinal effects. The sterile leaf has no medicinal effects, but it is used mainly for its aromatic qualities. The fertile leaf produces inflorescences during flowering which constitutes the main part of the plant's attractiveness. On the other hand, the true leaf has superior medicinal qualities in terms of its ability to reduce pain and fever .
